Rome Foundation

Dr. Mary-Joan Gerson has been appointed to one of the committees of the prestigious Rome Foundation, the Multi-Cultural Aspects of Functional Gastro-intestinal Disorders Committee. The Rome Foundation sets the definitions of FGID for the international academic community and publishes the authoritative text in this field. The next edition will be entitled Rome IV and will result from a meeting in Rome in the fall of 2014.

Dr. Charles Gerson has been appointed to a Rome Foundation Working Committee on Multi-National Cross-Cultural Research. He is contributing to the writing of a section on Fostering Cross-Cultural Multinational Research and a section on Prevalence of, and Risk Factors for Irritable Bowel Syndrome: a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
